Treadmill
How to adjust
- Clip the safety key to your clothing — shirt hem or waistband — before running, not around your wrist.
- Start the belt at a slow walking speed, about 1-2 mph (2-3 km/h), then raise the speed in small steps with the console buttons.
- Set the incline with the incline buttons; start at 0-1% and build up gradually.
How to use
- Stand on the fixed side rails on either side of the belt, holding the handrails, with the safety key clipped to your clothing.
- Press start so the belt runs slowly, wait until it's moving steadily, then step onto the middle of the belt one foot at a time.
- Walk or run in the middle of the belt, standing tall with your eyes forward; only touch the rails lightly when you need balance.
- To finish, slow down gradually to an easy walk for a few minutes, press stop, wait for the belt to come to a complete stop, then hold the rail and step off.
Safety notes
- Always clip the safety key to your clothing before starting the belt — if you fall or drift back, it pulls free and the belt stops.
- To stop in a hurry, hold the rails, put both feet on the fixed side rails, then hit the stop button or pull the safety key; never jump off and never step backwards while the belt is still moving.
- Chest pain, dizziness or unusual breathlessness means hitting the emergency stop, stepping onto the side rails and ending the session.
- Never step straight onto a fast-moving belt; always start from the side rails at a slow speed.
