Stair Climber / Stepmill
How to adjust
- Set the step speed/level via the console; the side handrails are typically fixed and not adjustable.
How to use
- Hold the side rails briefly to steady yourself as the steps begin moving.
- Start climbing at a comfortable step rate, keeping your torso upright rather than leaning on the rails.
- Increase speed/level from the console as needed, slowing gradually before stepping off onto the fixed side platforms.
Safety notes
- Mount and dismount only from the fixed side platforms, never step directly onto or off the moving stairs.
- If you get short of breath, miss a step, feel dizzy or have chest pain, grip the rails firmly, drop straight to the slowest level or hit the stop button, and wait until the stairs are completely still before stepping across to the fixed platform — they keep rolling for a moment after you stop climbing.
- Keep a light hand on the rails rather than bearing weight on them.
- Ease the level down over the last 2-3 minutes rather than stopping abruptly.
