Push/Pull Sled
How to adjust
- Choose the high or low push handles on the frame to change the push angle (high for a more upright posture, low for a steeper drive angle).
- Load weight plates onto the sled's posts and secure them with plate collars.
- Attach a pull strap/harness to the front hook if performing a pulling variation instead of pushing.
How to use
- Load the sled with an appropriate weight, get into an athletic stance with a flat back, and grip the handles (or strap in with a harness).
- Drive through the legs to push the sled across the floor in long, powerful, controlled steps.
- Push through the set distance then reset for the next rep.
Safety notes
- Check the path ahead is clear of people and obstacles before pushing/pulling, since the sled has momentum and limited visibility while pushing low.
- Keep a flat back and avoid rounding under load.
- Start with lighter loads to learn the technique before adding significant weight.
- If you run out mid-lane, stop driving and let the sled coast to a halt, keep your hands on the handles and stand up slowly before letting go — turning loose while still leaning into it is the classic way to fall forward; after a run, walk it off instead of dropping to the floor, and stop the session for chest pain or dizziness.
