Seated Calf Raise Machine
How to adjust
- Adjust the seat position and knee pad height to sit snugly just above the knees, not over the thighs.
- Load weight plates onto the lever posts and secure them with plate collars.
- Find the lock lever on the side of the lever arm before you sit down: it holds the knee pad up so you can get your legs in and out, and you release it at the start of a set and re-engage it at the end.
How to use
- Sit with the balls of your feet on the edge of the low platform, heels hanging free, and slide your thighs under the knee pad.
- Press up onto your toes just enough to unweight the knee pad, then swing the lock lever clear so the lever arm can travel freely.
- Lower your heels for a stretch, then rise up onto your toes as high as possible, pause, then lower under control.
- At the end of the set, or when you run out of strength, press up one last time, swing the lock lever back so the knee pad rests on the catch, slide both feet fully onto the platform, and only then pull your legs out and stand up.
Safety notes
- Re-engage the lock lever before pulling your legs out from under the knee pad, and only release it once your legs are already in position — the pad carries the whole load, and unlocking or exiting out of order is exactly when the lever drops onto your thighs.
- Seat the knee pads snugly just above your knees (not on your quads) before loading weight, since misplacement concentrates force on the wrong joint.
- Keep the movement slow and controlled at the bottom stretch.
- Secure the plates with collars.
