Why your training plan should change every week

Adjust to recovery and real life while keeping enough consistency to see progress.

A plan is a hypothesis

A schedule is written before anyone knows how you will sleep, travel or feel next week. Review completed sessions, effort, pain and actual time available. If things went well, keep the structure and progress a little; if not, reduce load or move a day.

Weekly adjustment does not mean replacing every exercise. Keeping core movements helps you compare progress.

A five-minute review

Ask: Which sessions happened? Which felt unusually draining? How much time is genuinely available next week? Choose one change, such as an extra set, one fewer hard session or moving the long run.

An app can suggest changes from logged data, but your symptoms still matter. Address illness or pain before chasing more load.
