Triceps Extension Machine
How to adjust
- Set the seat height so your elbow aligns with the machine's pivot point once your upper arm rests fully on the pad in front of you.
- Adjust the elbow pad position to fit your build, and select the weight with the pin.
How to use
- Sit with your upper arms/elbows braced firmly against the pad in front of you, gripping the handles with your forearms bent in.
- Extend your forearms down/forward until your arms are nearly straight.
- Pause briefly, then bend back under control to the start position.
- If you run out of strength mid-set, let the forearms bend back slowly with the load until the stack settles all the way down, then release the handles and get up from the seat.
Safety notes
- Keep your upper arms/elbows braced against the pads throughout so the shoulder doesn't compensate for the triceps.
- Do not force a hard lockout at full extension.
- Control the way back in; don't let the stack snap the forearms back toward you.
