Torso Rotation Machine
How to adjust
- Adjust the hip/leg restraint so the lower body stays fixed facing forward.
- Select the weight using the pin on the weight stack.
How to use
- Sit with your hips and legs locked facing forward, gripping the rotating handle/bar at chest height.
- Rotate your torso to one side against the resistance, pausing briefly.
- Rotate back through center and continue to the other side, keeping the movement controlled.
- Finish the set at center: hold the handles and bring your torso back to the middle until the stack has settled all the way down, then let go, release the hip/leg restraint and step out of the machine.
Safety notes
- Keep your hips and legs locked facing forward throughout so the rotational force doesn't twist your lower back/knees.
- If you run out of strength or feel a twinge in the lower back, end the set: keep hold of the handles, let your torso travel back to center until the stack is fully down, and only then let go and get out — releasing mid-rotation lets the stack snap your spine back.
- Don't overrotate past the machine's built-in range stops.
- Control the return through center.
