Aerobic Step Platform
How to adjust
- Add or remove risers/blocks under the platform to change its height.
- Pick a height where, with your whole foot on the platform, your thigh stays no higher than hip level (about 90° at the knee or less): beginners use the bare platform, and if your knees complain, take a riser out.
How to use
- Set the platform to your desired height using the risers.
- Step up onto the platform leading with one foot fully, bringing the trailing foot up.
- Step back down with control, alternating which leg leads.
Safety notes
- Check the platform and risers are locked together securely and sitting flat on the floor before stepping on, since a wobbly or uneven platform is the main fall risk.
- Tired legs are when the edge catches you: the moment you start clipping the edge or gasping, finish on the floor — step both feet down and rest instead of pushing one more round on the platform.
- Place your whole foot on the platform each step rather than just the toes.
- Keep the stepping area clear of other equipment.
