Recumbent Bike
How to adjust
- Slide the seat forward/back on its rail so your leg is almost straight at the farthest pedal position.
- Adjust the backrest angle if available, and set the resistance level via the console.
How to use
- Sit back into the seat with your back against the backrest, adjust the seat position, and grip the side handles if provided.
- Start pedaling at an easy resistance.
- Increase resistance per your workout, keeping your back against the support throughout.
Safety notes
- Set the seat rail position before pedaling so your knees don't overflex or lock out at the extremes of the stroke.
- Finish with 3-5 minutes of easy pedaling, stop pedaling and wait for the pedals to come to a complete stop since the flywheel keeps turning for a moment, undo the foot straps, then take your feet off and stand up — never jam a foot down to stop a turning pedal.
- Chest pain, dizziness, unusual shortness of breath or a racing heartbeat means stop pedaling at once, stay seated until you feel steady, then get checked by a doctor.
- Keep your back against the backrest for lumbar support rather than leaning forward.
- Increase resistance gradually.
