Prowler
How to adjust
- Choose the high or low set of push poles depending on the desired body angle.
- Load weight plates onto the frame's posts and secure them with plate collars.
How to use
- Load the frame, gripping the chosen set of poles (high for a more upright push, low for a steeper drive angle).
- Get into an athletic stance with a flat back and low hips.
- Drive through the legs in powerful, controlled steps to push the frame forward.
- At the end of your planned lane, let the frame come to a complete stop before letting go of the poles, then stand up tall and walk slowly to recover.
Safety notes
- Check the path ahead is clear before pushing, since visibility is limited in the low push position and the frame has real momentum once moving.
- If you run out of gas mid-lane, shorten your steps until the frame stops, let go of the poles and stand up to walk it off rather than hanging over the poles to breathe. Chest pain, dizziness or unusual shortness of breath means stop the session for good and get checked.
- Keep a flat back throughout; don't round it under load.
- Start light while learning the movement.
