Incline Chest Press Machine
How to adjust
- Set the seat height so the handles align with the upper chest when seated.
- Adjust the backrest incline angle if the machine has an adjustment pin.
- Load weight plates onto the posts on the pressing arms and secure them with plate collars.
How to use
- Sit on the inclined seat, grip the handles at upper-chest height, shoulder blades pinned to the backrest.
- Exhale, press the handles up and forward until the arms are nearly straight.
- Inhale, lower under control until you feel a slight stretch in the upper chest.
Safety notes
- Choose an incline angle you can control through the full range, keeping the shoulder blades pinned to the backrest.
- Secure the plates with collars so they don't slam on the way down.
- If you run out of strength mid-set, keep your hands on the handles and let the pressing arms travel back to the start; only let go once the load rests on the stops, then stand up — letting go mid-range springs the handles back toward your chest.
