Horizontal Leg Press Machine
How to adjust
- Slide the seat carriage along its rail until your legs are almost fully extended with a slight bend at the knee, then lock the carriage pin.
- Select the load by inserting the pin into the matching hole on the weight stack.
How to use
- Sit into the carriage with your back flat against the pad, feet on the plate about shoulder-width apart.
- Release the carriage lock lever, inhale, then press the plate away to move the weight.
- Exhale as your legs near full extension without locking the knees, then let the carriage slide back under control as your knees bend.
- When finished, re-engage the carriage lock lever before standing up.
Safety notes
- Only release the carriage lock lever once both feet are set firmly on the plate, and re-engage it immediately after your set before leaving the seat.
- Do not lock the knees out fully at full extension.
- Lower the weight under control; do not let the carriage slide back quickly toward your chest.
- If you can't finish a press, let the carriage slide back with the load until the stack settles, take your feet off to the sides of the plate, then re-engage the carriage lock before standing up — don't try to hold a deep knee bend under load.
