Hip Adductor Machine
How to adjust
- Set the starting open range of the two knee pads to a comfortable stretch for your hips.
- Select the weight using the pin on the weight stack.
How to use
- Sit with your back against the pad and set the inside of your thighs and knees against the two pads, which start apart.
- Exhale, squeeze the legs together against the resistance.
- Pause briefly, inhale, and let the legs open back under control.
Safety notes
- Set the starting range to a comfortable stretch for your hips before adding weight; don't force an aggressive stretch.
- Control the movement in both directions; don't use momentum to bounce out of the stretched position.
- If you run out of strength or feel a sharp pull in the groin, let the legs open back with the load until the stack settles before you let go, take your legs off the pads and get out of the machine — letting go mid-range lets the pads snap open and yanks the groin into a stretch.
