Goal

Body prep for an event

Counted back from the wedding, the photo shoot or the beach trip: a steady fat-loss block, a muscle-retention block, then two final weeks that settle rather than squeeze. The app blocks crash protocols even if you ask for one.

Who it's for

People with a specific date ahead who want to look leaner and healthier on that day without damaging their health.

Example program length: 12 weeks

The path

These phases show how this goal can develop over time.

Phase 1

Base and steady deficit

Most of the timeline lives here: four resistance sessions, a 300-500 kcal deficit, steps climbing. The earlier you start, the gentler this is.

Phase 2

Hold muscle, keep leaning

Hold lifting loads, nudge volume up for the priority muscle group, keep the deficit where it is. No extra cardio to pay for a heavy week.

Phase 3

Settle before the day

Bring energy back toward maintenance, cut lifting volume by a third, sleep properly. The closing block settles rather than squeezes: on a 12-week plan it lands at about the last two weeks, it scales up on a longer plan, and on a 6-week plan at least the final week runs this way.

Example activities in the first phase

A starting plan could include:

  • 4 resistance sessions split upper and lower
  • A daily step target
  • 1 easy 30-minute cardio session
